Gingersnaps
This is a recipe from the mom of a childhood friend and one of my favorites.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup softened butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp ginger
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups flour
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 F. Cream butter and sugars in a bowl. Add egg and molasses and mix. Add dry ingredients and mix. Roll rounded tablespoons in white sugar and place on a lined or greased cookie sheet. Bake for 7 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool.
